Platino Super-Bulky Hat

This hat, made with Feza’s Platino super-bulky yarn, is incredibly easy to and makes a great quick gift. Click either image to see a larger view.

Materials: 1 skein Feza Platino (44yds/100g) or other super-bulky yarn

Needles: US size 17 16" circular needles, US size 15 8" double-pointed needles

Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle

Gauge: 6 sts/4” in stockinette stitch

Instructions

With size 17 circulars, CO 32sts. Place marker and join into the round without twisting. Work in K2, P2 ribbing until about 3 yards of yarn remains.

Decrease for crown as follows:

Row 1: K2, P2tog around.

Row 2: K2tog, P1 around.

Row 3: SSK, P 1 around.

Row 4: SSK around.

Repeat row 4 once more if needed. Break the yarn and pass it through
the remaining stitches. Sew in the ends.
